This bus information display system is
managed by Moxa's V468 x86-based embedded computer. The V468 handles bus
timetables, bus routes, and a GPS time synchronization clock for system
mapping. Both the V468 embedded computer and buses are equipped with
USB Bluetooth for communication. Within 10 meters, the embedded computer
can sense which bus is coming via the Bluetooth connection, and
displays the real-time information on the panel. If the bus is late, the
remote control center can inform the embedded computer over the GPRS
modem to notify waiting passengers. Some bus stops may have temperature
and humidity sensors (PT-100 protocol) that connect to an ioLogik active
Ethernet I/O device and are managed by the embedded computer over the
Ethernet LAN. The V468 features 8+8 DI/DOs for controlling station
lights. The bus station uses solar energy to charge the V468's 9 to 36
VDC batteries. |
