Which scenario applies to you?


When your application scenario meets the following two criteria, consider using a cellular solution:


● You need to monitor/control devices that are widely distributed.
● You need to monitor/control devices over a long distance.

Since cellular networks support a wide coverage area with lower transmission speed
(< 10 Mbps), cellular is the appropriate solution for applications that require long distance communication, including pipeline monitoring, highway signal control, and FTU (feeder terminal unit) remote monitoring.




Imagine that this diagram represents your own application. In this case, you would use a cellular gateway to monitor FTU data, and then transmit the data back to the remote control center.
